Embracing butterfly cardigan
BUY THIS PATTERN AT RAVELRY OR ETSY (IN ENGLISH AND DUTCH)
Embracing butterfly is a cropped cardigan knitted in soft, light, organic bio wool. It looks 'different', rich and colourful: there is colourwork and texture at the same time. I call this 3D-knitting.
I used this technique in Lily cardigan for the first time. In Nefertiti capelet I used it all over. I really love the look of this kind of colourwork.
I wrote the pattern in 10 sizes: 36-54. The languages are English and Dutch. Each size has its own yoke and edges. These you find in the colour charts for each size.

Difficulty level/techniques used: intermediate to experienced. You need to know how to cast on, to knit (colourwork), to purl (colourwork), to knit corrugated ribbing (I use a techique that is similar to that) to bind off, to pick up stitches and make short rows (I provide also information about short rows).
Yarn used: BC Bio Shetland, 100% wool. You knit this wool with a double thread.
Gauge: 5 stitches per inch, 20 st per 10 cm horizontal and about 24,4 rows per 10 cm vertical.
Needed: Bio Shetland (see above: yarn used), circular needles size 4 and 6 (3,5 and 4 mm), or other sizes to get the gauge. Stitch markers, and a divisible zipper.
Yarn used per colour: note that you knit with double thread, so 50 grams = 150 m instead of 300 m.
